Firebird SQL currently has 93 open pull requests (PRs) with bug fixes and new features! This is great in general, but there is a problem: a lack of QA resources to review the code and test the proposed bug fixes and features. The reliability of Firebird is the absolute priority, and no change can be merged without proper review and testing.
What are QA resources? First, the time of QA engineers; second, VMs for QA runs, especially for performance tests.
The Firebird Foundation needs an additional US$20,000 over the next six months to keep up the pace and provide adequate QA for the project.
Please participate and donate: even the smallest donation helps. It brings the Firebird 6 release closer and improves Firebird's quality.
